Participatory Methods

RECI aims not only to talk about which interactive methods are useful in the classroom worldwide and how best to introduce them, but also to use innovative, learner-centred and participatory forms of mutual learning itself and to strengthen methodological skills in the network.

It is important that content and form are aligned and that participants in RECI events can experience the challenges and strengths of participatory learning methods in a concrete way.

Learner-centred pedagogy is based on collaborative and cooperative learning methods that give learners responsibility for their own learning. This pedagogy moves away from the model of the teacher as the sole carrier of knowledge and allows learners to contribute to the construction of their knowledge according to their own unique needs and interests.
