RECI’s 2015 Thematic Day was organised in the wake of the adoption in Paris of the Education 2030 Framework for Action, which complements the new Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG4) on education.
Bringing together some fifty participants, mostly from Swiss civil society, but also from the world of higher education and research, foundations and government, the event provided an opportunity for lively and fruitful discussions on the new agenda and the issues involved in implementing and monitoring it.
The quality of education, education in situations of crisis or conflict, the notion of lifelong learning, as well as funding and monitoring issues, were at the heart of the discussions.
