During the inspirED gathering on December 7 at the University of Geneva, organised by the RECI working group on Teacher Training for Quality Education (TTQE), the Association of Student Teachers in Primary Education (ADEFEP), and the International Dimensions of Education Research Team (ERDIE), participants worked on the challenges of teacher training in the digital age.
Speakers shared insightful reflections, highlighting, among other things, the crucial need to plan course programs before selecting supportive technological tools, and not the other way around. Technology is not a cure-all and should remain a means to support learning.
Among the innovative solutions proposed, emphasis was placed on teacher circles for encouraging mutual assistance and learning to facilitate the integration and adoption of digital tools for learning.
