GAWE Webinar “Save Lives : Protect Education in Emergencies”

Event information

Millions of children around the world are losing access to education due to armed conflicts, climate disasters, and growing humanitarian crises. Yet, education remains a fundamental right and a crucial tool for protection, stability, and long-term recovery.

This webinar, launched by ENACE (Europe and North America Campaign for Education) is organised as part of the Global Action Week for Education (GAWE) by the GCE (Global Campaign for Education). It aims to highlight the urgency of ensuring Education in Emergencies (EiE).

The discussion will focus on the increasing number of children affected by crises, the impact of funding cuts, as well as the need for stronger international commitments to safeguard education in the face of growing global instability.

Meet our panelists:

  • Youth Advocate
  • Yasmine Sherif, Director of Education Cannot Wait (ECW).
  • Faiza Hassan, Director, Inter-agency Network for Education in Emergencies (INEE)
