The annual meeting of the European and North-American Campaign for Education (ENACE), of which RECI is a member, took place in Dublin in October 2024. This meeting marked a pivotal moment for the coalition, strengthening our collective commitment and laying the foundations for new initiatives aimed at advocating for quality education for all.
Through constructive and inspiring discussions, members defined an activity plan for 2025, based on three pillars: advocacy, campaigns, and fundraising.
For two days, ENACE members discussed the need to identify and implement joint activities, and structure the organisation based on these in the future.
The 2025 action plan will include:
- Strengthening exchanges between member coalitions.
- Creating an advocacy strategy for several major international events.
- And again: Organising an event around Global Action Week for Education (GAWE) 2025 under the leadership of RECI
A big thank you to all the coalitions for their dedication and a special thanks to the Irish Network for Education Worldwide (INEW) for organising the event.
ENACE is a regional sub-coalition of the Global Campaign for Education (GCE).
In addition to ENACE, several other regional coalitions exist, each addressing the specific needs and educational challenges of their respective regions. Notably, the Latin American Campaign for the Right to Education (CLADE), the African Network Campaign for Education For All (ANCEFA), and the Asia South Pacific Association for Basic and Adult Education (ASPBAE), all of which work under the auspices of the Global Campaign for Education (GCE).
These coalitions, like ENACE, share a common mission: to mobilise local stakeholders, raise awareness among governments, and influence public policies to ensure quality education for everyone.
