GAWE Webinar “Save Lives : Protect Education in Emergencies”

Informations sur l’événement

Millions of children around the world are losing access to education due to armed conflicts, climate disasters, and growing humanitarian crises. Yet, education remains a fundamental right and a crucial tool for protection, stability, and long-term recovery.

This webinar, launched by ENACE (Europe and North America Campaign for Education) is organised as part of the Global Action Week for Education (GAWE) by the GCE (Global Campaign for Education). It aims to highlight the urgency of ensuring Education in Emergencies (EiE).

The discussion will focus on the increasing number of children affected by crises, the impact of funding cuts, as well as the need for stronger international commitments to safeguard education in the face of growing global instability.

This webinar will bring together education experts, young advocates, and key stakeholders to:

  • Present the latest data on the urgent needs in education for crisis-affected communities.
  • Examine the role of education in building resilience and ensuring children’s safety and well-being.
  • Discuss challenges in delivering quality education in emergencies and identify effective solutions.
  • Strengthen advocacy efforts to push for increased investment and policy changes at national and international levels.

Join us in shaping the movement for stronger education systems that can withstand crises and protect the right to learn for every child.
