A total of 11 classes are participating in this second edition.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the marathon, the teams from Action Education Switzerland visit the classes to raise awareness, through a playful approach, about the issue of international solidarity in education.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The children are then encouraged to read as many books as possible, selected by their teachers, and to take part in the educational project designed by them.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At one of the schools, the pupils&#8217; families are also involved, as they sponsor the children&#8217;s efforts and thus contribute in a spirit of solidarity to the development of Action Education&#8217;s educational projects.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the other school, this sponsorship role is taken on by a Swiss firma specialising in fun activities focused on computer science and robotics for children aged 5 to 14.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the end of the event, each pupil will be awarded a Solidarity Reader Diploma, recognising their participation.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The reading marathon will also be enriched by exchanges between children in Switzerland and those in the countries where Action Education operates.
